Reviews
Only CINEMA in Ferrol. Varied offer, movies on VOS, affordable prices and subscription options. It allows online shopping and the staff is very nice. The theaters are not "premium" and you can take the popcorn from home if you want, but if you want quality old-fashioned cinema this is your cinema.
Great programming: premieres that move away from the most commercial circuits, series of great directors in the history of cinema, sessions for the little ones on Sunday mornings, various discounts...
No other cinema in the region (and I would even say in A Coruña) has the interesting offer of Duplex Cinema. If you like author films or original versions, this is your place. Without a doubt, a place that should never disappear.
Great programming, incredibly qualified staff, especially Eva. It looks and hears very well. Many hours, it has become my go-to place for leisure and I can walk without leaving Ferrol
I go with my son on Sunday mornings to the free children's session, for the people who attend it is enough and it is not uncomfortable, it provides the service perfectly, but as a cinema to charge admission... it is missing some details
The daily screening seems excellent to me, a welcoming cinema that must be preserved.
It is an old cinema, the last one left in Ferrol, with an unbeatable price (€3 on Wednesdays) and an offer of movies that is out of the ordinary, which is very appreciated. They are generally little-known films, foreign but not from Hollywood, they remind me of La2 films. It only offers four movies a day, two per session, and yet I hesitate about which one to choose because they all seem interesting. In other cinemas they offer six or more films at a time and with great luck there is one that I want to see because they all seem the same to me.
On some Thursdays, in association with the city council, there are free movie screenings dedicated to an actor, director or movie theme. I attach some old posters as an example and the one from October, November and December of this year, dedicated to Meryl Streep.
The facilities are good, I have no complaints about the image or sound quality, or the comfort of the seats, but don't expect something like a multiplex, but rather something more humble and classic, which in my opinion has a lot of charm.
I was surprised that they don't have the typical area where snacks and drinks are sold, and instead they have a vending machine.
As for cons, I can only say that I don't like the location because it is an old and neglected area, a bit remote, with closed stores and abandoned houses and therefore it is difficult for you to find the cinema unless you go looking for it and There was a smell in the room that I didn't like, nothing unbearable, just a smell, which I think was humidity.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I love that there is a place with all these original initiatives in Ferrol and that I will go as much as I can.
They show very good movies. I love going to this cinema.
I love excellent movies, the guys who serve are very friendly
